A night at Daikoku Futo and some High-speed Wangan runs :)

The night begins after Leaving the Tokyo Auto Salon at roughly 7pm and heading straight out the Expressway to Daikoku Futo where we would be meeting a few pretty special cars a little later.

Arrived in Daikoku PA shortly after 8pm and start shooting some of the cars dotted around the lot. The thing I love about Japan the most is the variety of vehicles you see. The cars last night ranged from Nissan Skylines to Cadillacs, Ferrari’s to 1970’s C130 Laurels and everything in-between!

Up at the back of the Parking Area we came accross these absolute beauties…

Im living in Japan 18 months and I still get that warm, fuzzy feeling when I see cars such as these!

Anyway, the police decided to kick everyone out by 10pm so we went to meet our friends in a small parking area about 15 minutes away from Daikoku. After 30 minutes our friend in his Corvette ZR1 arrived so we had a few cans of Coffee to keep us warm while we chatted and waited for our other friend to roll up….

It was after midnight at this stage when we heard the unmistakable rumble of an 800bhp Toyota Supra rolling into the PA…

So we got some shots off of the cars when suddenly an R32 GT-R, Lamborghini Gallardo and a Ferrari 458 Italia race by so we all ran and jumped into the cars before speeding off in pursuit….

We made it out to Umitoharu PA in a matter of minutes(minus a Gallardo and GTR) at speeds hitting 325kph at one stage! Amazing!!

After a quick chat and a look around at some of the cars in the PA we headed back to Daikoku and parted our ways. What an amazing end to an already smashing day at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, falling into bed at 3am with a huge smile on my face 🙂

Thanks for reading,
Gary
